UrOnlineGP adheres to all requirements by National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) and applicable state legislation.

Personal information we collect

We collect personal information of patients such as their credit card details, date of birth, Medicare or DVA card numbers, contact details. We collect these to ensure smooth provision of our service requested by patients.

We use your personal information for below:

  • Medicare billing and administrative purposes
  • Provision of medical services to patients and forward their reports to their regular GP

We disclose your information to below:

  • Patient’s regular GP
  • To comply with any legal obligations required by Law
  • To our doctors so they can attend the consultation requested
  • Any person authorized by the patient

We adhere to Australian privacy legislation which applies to all personal health information recorded in electronic and paper records. All records are kept secure to protect against unauthorised access. We take all necessary appropriate steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We may hold your information in either electronic or hard copy form.

UrOnlineGP does not tolerate any compromise or misuse of confidential information.

UrOnlineGP does not substitute the primary care GP. UrOnlineGP is not an insurance product nor a prescription fulfilment platform. UrOnlineGP operates subject to Australian medical regulations. UrOnlineGP does not guarantee that a prescription will be written. We do not prescribe controlled substances, non-therapeutic drugs and certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UrOnlineGP doctors reserves the right to deny care for potential misuse of services. UrOnlineGP logo are registered trademarks of UrOnlineGP and may not be used without written permission.

UrOnlineGP Prescription Policy

Doctors providing consultations for UrOnlineGP members offer prescriptions for a wide range of products that deliver direct medicinal value. These include, but are not limited to, drug classes such as antibiotics and antihistamines.
It is important to note that UrOnlineGP is not a drug fulfilment platform. In the event a GP does prescribe a medication, he/she will usually limit the supply to no more than thirty days. Patients with chronic illnesses should visit their primary care GPs or other specialists for extended care. UrOnlineGP doctors do not issue prescriptions for controlled substances, for non-therapeutic use, and/or those which may be harmful (potential for abuse or addiction).
